Currently Listening To Sam Smith – Too Good at Goodbyes
Hi beauties. How are you guys?? I’ve had so much to do. Final year is the taste of hell. But that’s not going to interrupt my plans for my blog. I promise better and more content and I’m going to deliver..
P.S i hope you guys have noticed the changes on my Instagram. I hope to improve by the day. I.G – Ore_K
Today’s post is for my Nigerian Web series watchers, the people that mark attendance on YouTube where we watch Skinny Girl in Transit and This is it. If you don’t watch any please let me know why…I’m interested. I’m going to be doing an interview with the female lead character of the Nigerian Web series ”This is it”.
I asked a couple of questions and also some that i saw in the comment section on YouTube. I hope it’s ok.
Here we go:
I never know how to answer this question. My full name is Chiagoziem Nwakanma. Most people call me Chy for short. I’m a full time actress, currently based in Lagos Nigeria.
2. Have you done anything before ”This is it”
Yes I have done a lot of stage plays in Chicago and a few films here in Nigeria but “This is it” was my first lead in a tv series and it’s safe to say that’s what broke me out and that’s what I’m identified with.
3.If you weren’t an actress, what would you be?
I did a lot of marketing and sales job while in school and I realized I’m good at selling things. So I’ll most likely be in that field or any other field with creatives
4. What’s your skincare routine
It’s actually simple. Cleanse and moisturize. I don’t have any specific brand for facial cleansers but neutrogena or clean and clear products are my first choice when it comes to cleansers. I moisturize ALOT! My main moisturizer is coconut oil. In fact that’s the only thing I use on my body and face. If I’m going outside though I use sunscreen on my face and neck instead of coconut oil. To cleanse my body I use dove soap. And moisturize with coconut oil as well.
5. What’s your favourite accessory?
I love baseball caps! I wear them almost everyday! Can’t leave the house without it.
6.Describe your typical day
My days vary alot so I don’t have a routine. On days I’m on set. I wake up, shower and head to set. On my off days I spend it mostly in bed, eating and watching tv or with friends. But I love the indoors, I’m a home-body.
7. What’s your favourite makeup brand
Honestly I don’t have one. I try everything as long as it works for my skin. Currently I love maybeline fit me foundation. I’m not particular on my makeup products as long as my skin doesn’t react to it. But 98% of the time I go with what’s affordable or the cheaper option that can give me similar results.
8. Are you working on any new projects?
Yes working on a few. I’m currently on Mnet “Hustle”. I Have a few exciting projects coming out next year, and I’m working on a few mini projects of my own. It’s been a productive year and next year is looking even brighter!
9. Are you in a relationship with anyone?
No I’m not. I’m working on myself and my craft
10. Who are the people you look up your in the industry?
They are so many. I love women that are breaking boundaries. Don’t get me wrong there are men out there pushing boundaries as well like Tolu Ajayi, Niyi, etc but I have to tip my hat to all the women out there grinding and resetting societal standards. Just to name a few Lowladee, Mo Abudu, Tope Oshin, Mary Remmy, the list goes on. There are also actors out there killing it. I have to say I’m really excited about the future of Tv and Film in Nigeria.
Do you guys have anymore questions?
Do you want an interview with anyone else?
Let me know in the comment section
Until Next time
Love,
Ay! This is awesome. I love both shows, but I’m seriously lagging behind, I guess when the season finishes I’ll watch it at once. I hate suspense. Some people don’t know Nigeria has web series, don’t blame them. I stumbled across This is It, by chance and some other series, even Skinny Girl in Transit. I was randomly browsing on YouTube. I’ll head over to Instagram and check you out, yes also be giving you a follow button, it’s automatic lol. Wonderful post, how did you reach out to her and conduct your interview?
Also, the final year is stressful o. I just finished my own in August, because of my project. I wrote my final paper in late June and I finished my project in August. Funnily enough, my final year was my most unserious year, yet it was the year, that I really did well when it came to my GPA. It still baffles me, but if you’re focused and keep to time, then you’ve got this.
