I’m going to be sharing ways you can get the best out your red lipstick through proper application! Yes I’m teaching you how to apply lipstick,Properly.
A lot of people don’t know this but the fact that you get ready and roll up your fave red lipstick, apply it and smack ! Doesn’t mean you’ve done it right. So why not do the right things and actually turn heads with that lipstick
1. APPLY LIPBALM/LIPGLOSS
Quote me! No lipstick anywhere in this life can ever reach its full complete, absolute, voluminous potential on chapped/dry lips😩 so don’t do it.
Think of it this way, we apply face primer to prepare the skin for foundation right? It pretty much covers your pores, protects your skin from direct contact with your foundation and quite frankly it’s improper! That’s exactly how it is with lipsticks too.

2. YES YOU CAN EXFOLIATE YOUR LIPS
Did you know?
Just as much as you see “Exfoliate your body” “Exfoliate your skin” you can also Exfoliate your lips. Normally, we Exfoliate to get rid of dead/dry skin and give room for the fresh/new skin to shine right? Same with the lips. Kinda like how, during harmattan lips dry. When your lips dry it starts to break and bleed.
3. CONCEAL DON’T FEEL
So do you ever wonder how in makeup tutorials or pictures, the lipstick is always so defined and sharp looking especially the edges?? Think about it this way, when you draw your brows, you conceal them right? To define them, give them the arch and shape you even want, same with your lipstick. When you apply, you can use your concealer to sharpen edges and clean out the unnecessaries
4. USE YOUR LIPBRUSH
The lipbrush makes your application way more easier. Why? Because it’s more precise, it’s easier to control, it’s like working with a pencil. You start to feel like a Primary school girl with all that color on a brush and control
5. DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS
There are MULTIPLE MULTIPLE, A BILLION GAZILLION shades of RED ! The shade of red lipstick that is perfect for your mum might be the worst for you.
For example this Lipstick I got from BlushKrush Cosmetics in Betty Boo is my shade of Red, I tried it in my mum , it came off a bit lighter for her.
6. NOT ALL LIPSTICKS ARE MATTE!
All Lipsticks aren’t completely matte! How you can test your products by rubbing it on clothes or tissue or anything, some come off like this Betty Boo Lipstick, while some don’t. So always have that in mind
7.GET CONFIDENT AND EXPECT COMPLIMENTS
Bomb lipstick = a day filled with compliments. So when they come? Take them gladly.
